This article's claim is that recycling doesn't only conserve natural resources and reduce the amount of waste that has to be burned or buried, but also reduces pollution and the need for energy. It says that the U.S. has had success recycling hazardous things such as car batteries and steel items but has failed to significantly reuse other items, especially items that are a waste of packaging, such as water bottles and packaged food items. higher hygiene standards, smaller households, intense branding materials, and the increase of ready-made packaged meals are the leading factors of excess packaging. "Even simple items like bottles of water now routinely crisscross the globe, meaning that thirst for a few swallows of “product” can generate not just plastic bottles, but also a large amount of other packaging debris—from wrapping film to bin liners to shipping crates." The U.S. need to realize that some things are a waste of material and should be reused and recycled.

the claim to this article is that recycling reduces the amount of landfill and pollution, and it conserves energy. it also starts off by stating how recycling emerged in world war 2 in america because of scarce resources. kids from the 80's, the article says, though that the idea of "recycle, reduce, and re-use" has been part of he nation since the start but it was actually started in the 1970's. then non profit organizations for recycling started up and it became a common thing to recycle. "Non-profit recycling centers began opening around the country, followed by municipal recycling programs. Today, most U.S. communities have such programs. A typical program asks people to separate their recyclables from their trash before placing them at the curb for collection." the recycling of plastics is broken up into 7 categories(the seventh is all plastics other than the first specific 6 plastics). plastic can be reformed to many other useful things.

This article is about why there are a lot more benefits to recycling as to not recycling because recycling cleans up our environment, conserves natural resources, reduces energy consumption, boosts the economy, and reminds us how our actions affect the world at large. these statements are backed up by facts from the U.S. environmental protection agency and it states all the bad things that come from not recycling such as an increasing size of the landfill and the burning of wastes which reduces the size of the landfill but pollutes the atmosphere. "While the obvious benefit of burning solid matter is hat it alleviates some of the burden placed on our limited landfill space. there are two notable drawbacks: the generation of pollution particles and post-combustion ash. the latter of which typically contains assorted heavy metals." we can all change the world, crate more job opportunities, slow down global warming, and do many other incredible things by doing a such a simple thing, recycle.
Research 1
This article talks about the fact that we should all recycle in america. The reasons as to why we should recycle is that it saves energy, conserves natural resources, limits pollution, and supports several sectors of the economy. These statements are backed up by many statistics from the U.S. environmental protection agency. One of the facts that support this claim is that," In 2003, the energy savings from recycling 54 billion aluminum cans exceeded the energy equivalent of 15 million barrels of crude oil – or the amount of gas the U.S. uses in one day." isn't it incredible that just recycling can save that much energy!? The article also states that you become a better patriot when recycling because then we don't need to get more of our fossil fuels from other nations.

This is important because recycling is a problem that is affecting the whole community. it prevents materials such as plastic and aluminum cans being polluted into our environment. such pollution may have a major impact on the wildlife around us. It is also important to recycle to preserve our precious raw materials. when we recycle we get to reuse raw materials so that we don need to keep using up new raw materials.
